ਅਰਥ or artha translates as purpose, meaning or significance.

With a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, at artha science media, I create meaningful scientific content for audiences of all backgrounds.

motivation and Experience

I have almost 10 years of experience creating and executing STEM-themed projects with a view to break down complex scientific ideas for non-expert audiences, and helping train others to do the same.

Representation matters when talking about how and why science is done, so I consider advocacy to include marginalized scientists and their research, a fundamental part of this work.

As a co-founder of multiple public engagement initiatives, I draw on:

• my scientific background to evaluate and iterate,

• and my experiences as a South Asian woman in STEM,

to continually improve and ensure they are relevant to the communities they are created to serve.

I have worked with a vibrant and diverse group of people within the realm of science communication, outreach and public engagement. And I am fortunate to have learned from and contributed to this community
